Ace Tennis Academy joins hands with Kelab PJ & Head Sports to make a positive difference

Thanks to The Star newspaper, Head Sports and Kelab PJ, for giving us the opportunity to spread the joy of tennis in Petaling Jaya to a broader community. We are extremely privileged and humbled to be the only Tennis Academy in Malaysia entrusted to run the underprivileged program. We are extremely delighted and proud to share that the relentless hard work and determination shown by these players from the Lighthouse home married with the guidance from our highly competent and committed coaches have helped these kids reach the National circuit. It’s a testament that when we all come together for a noble cause anything is possible. Once again a big thanks to Kelab PJ & Head Sports for giving us this opportunity.

A small excerpt from the article:

“The PJ Club, one of the pioneer clubs in Petaling Jaya, had initiated the tennis programme in 2007. About 30 children from the Lighthouse Children Welfare Home were involved in the programme.

The coaches were professional tennis coach S.N. Syed Omar and former international P. Selvarajoo. About 30 children from the home in Bangsar have been training under coaches Syed Omar and Selvarajoo.

Several members, including former hockey international K. Balasingam who played for Malaysia in the 1975 World Cup, are also involved in the programme.

Training sessions are held on weekends. Some of the elite trainees are invited for mid-week training sessions.”
